Step into an interview with an AI bot who is interviewing a CPA for a position in the AI’s firm.

AI: I’m looking for a strategic hire that will allow me to serve clients and build this firm.

CPA: Perfect. I’m your person. I have great experience that will be most helpful to you.

AI: Great. What can you do?

CPA: Well, I have worked so long in one industry that I know the tax code and all the documents that need to be filed. I’m called on frequently to give expert review of the proper interpretation and use of the regulations.

AI: I can do that without you. And no offense, but you can’t begin to be as knowledgeable and accurate as I am. What else can you do?

CPA: Ok, well, I have a broad understanding of how to use technology tools to automate accounting work that clients need. I know how to get things done by streamlining the workflow process. Using various software so that automation is seamless, quick and accurate.

AI: Again, automation is easy for me to do. And I can do it almost instantaneously, something you will never be able to do. I’m looking for a CPA who can do what I can’t. Do you have any other skills or abilities?

CPA: Actually, I do. I’m able to form relationships with clients and staff so they feel comfortable with my guidance. Building trust isn’t difficult for me and often leads to additional opportunities to serve them.

AI: Interesting.

CPA: Also, I can evaluate the different options you provide to determine which is the most prudent for clients, given their situation, emotional state and future dreams.

AI: Really?

CPA: Since humans always make decisions with an emotional element, I’m able to help them through their anxieties and apprehensions to make decisions that are in their best interest. Can you do any of those things?

AI: No. When can you start?
