(To yourself) I can’t believe he just did that. Can’t he see how unacceptable that is? I can’t let him continue doing that. What a head case. We will definitely have to talk about it. But not right now. It’s not the right time. It’s got to be the right time.

(A day later) I’ve GOT to speak to him about what he did yesterday. I can’t let it go on. He needs to understand that his behavior won’t cut it. I have to figure out a way to approach him so that I’m clear and direct but that that he’s not discouraged. Hmm. I have to think about it.

(Later that day) Man, with everything I have going on, I haven’t had time to speak to him. But it’s important. I HAVE to get back with him.

(Another day later) I’ve GOT to speak to him about how his behavior. He makes himself, me and the firm look bad. Is he that clueless and that unaware? Surely he knows that what he’s doing isn’t right. Why should I even have to bring it up?

(Yet another day later). Crap. It happened three days ago and now it’s really hard to bring up the incident. It’s probably too late to deal with it now. Over and done with. Maybe it’s just time to move on.

(Tomorrow) OMG! He did it AGAIN! What is WRONG with him? Can’t he see how unacceptable that is? I can’t let him continue doing that. We will definitely have to talk about it. But not right now. It’s not the right time. It’s got to be the right time.

(Me to you) Who’s the head case?
